The Newport Carnival 10K
The Newport Carnival 10K race began in the 1980's and has been held in its current format since 2005. The race is held in conjunction with Newport Carnival and the 10k course follows the Carnival procession route and passes along the crowd-lined Newport High Street 
before moving out of town into the quite lanes and pathways in the surrounding countryside.
The start and finish for both the 10K and fun run is in the beautiful grounds of Longford Hall where refreshments are available throughout the morning.
There is also free entry to the Carnival for 10K runners after the race.
