Stafford Half Marathon

 

At the same time as the Ironbridge race, over 1600 runners converged on Stafford for their race over the same distance. Conditions on the day were almost perfect for the race and the Newport contingent who made the trip all enjoyed the event.

Simeon Hadebe was first back for the club in 174^th in the very respectable time of 1hr 34m 36s with Pete Johnstone not far behind him in 179^th in 1hr 35m 17s. Andrew Coles had put in some extra training and this showed in his time of 1hr 36m 46s to be 215^th.

The evergreen Steve Fowles was was 250^th in 1hr 37m 31s and Pauline Newton was 540^th in 1hr 47m 38s. Other Newport finishers were as follows:
