Cannock Chase Trog Points 2010

It takes more than a bit of snow and ice to put off runners however, and over 140 of them took on the challenge to race around the Chase with Noel Hogan and Gary Postins of Newport and District Running Club pushing on near the front of the field. They both had their own private battle within the race, but Noel pushed on towards the line over the last half mile and finished 19th in 1hr 35m 39s. Gary was only two places behind in 21st in 1hr 35m 54s.
Helen Skelton also had a good run and since joining the club last year, seems to be getting faster race by race. She crossed the line in 43rd position in 1hr 42m 24s with John Taylor making up the Newport contingent and nursing a niggling calf injury coming in 70th in 1hr 52m 38s
